The Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts presents Joe Castillo at Middle Tennessee State University on June 12, 2018 at 6:30p. Joe will be performing “Inspiring Transformation through Art, Storytelling and Creativity” for an audience of a thousand.

About The Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts
The Tennessee Governor’s School of the Arts is a month long summer program for rising 11th and 12th grade students in Tennessee. Administered by the State Department of Education, they offer study programs in art, dance, filmmaking, theatre, and music. Students are selected in competitive auditions during the months of January or February. Those eligible are Tennessee residents who attend public, private and home schools within the state.

SandStory consists of art images created by Joe Castillo as he draws in sand. This captivating performance is scored and choreographed to live or recorded music with a video projected on a screen for large audiences. These powerful, fluid stories have been seen by hundreds of thousands of people leaving them with a sense of awe.
